About Lofaz What Lofaz is and how it works
What is Lofaz?
Lofaz (Local + Fast) lets any local seller put their shop online in under a minute. Every seller gets their own store link, a product catalogue, orders sent straight to them, and a place where nearby customers can find them.
Read our story →Who is Lofaz for?
For sellers: shops, restaurants, boutiques, grocery and electronics stores, home businesses and anyone who sells products. For customers: anyone who wants to buy from a local seller.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Sellers can use the web panel in any browser, or the Lofaz Seller app on Android. Customers just open the seller's store link in a browser.
Where do I see what I paid and how do I pay the rest of my order?
Log in, open My orders and open the order. The Payment box shows what you paid, each payment, and the balance. Press Pay now to message the seller on WhatsApp with the balance amount ready to send, pay as the seller tells you, and the seller records it on your order. The Shipping box shows the courier and a Track button once the seller adds them.
How do I find sellers and products?
Use "Shop by category" to browse sellers by what they sell, "Browse by place" to find sellers in your state and city, "All products" to search products from every seller, or open a seller's store link if you have it.
Shop by category →What does it cost?
It is free until we start charging, and we will tell you at least 30 days before any charge. Forever Free has no time limit. Planned monthly prices: Starter ₹499, Growth ₹999, Pro ₹1,999, Enterprise on request. See the Pricing page for what each plan includes.
See pricing →Is it really free? Until when?
Yes. Every plan is free until we start charging. We will tell you at least 30 days before any charge. After that you choose a plan; features of the higher plans stop unless you subscribe, and your store and products stay.
See pricing →What happens when charging starts?
You get at least 30 days notice. Then you pick Forever Free (₹0, no time limit) or a paid plan. Your store and products stay either way. Planned monthly prices: Starter ₹499, Growth ₹999, Pro ₹1,999; a yearly discount is coming later.
Can my customers pay online in my store?
Online payments are coming soon. Today your customers pay you directly (UPI, cash or as you tell them on WhatsApp) and you record the payment on the order.
What payment methods will Lofaz accept for plans?
Payments are not switched on yet; when they are, cards, UPI and net banking.
Open your store Sign up and set up your shop
How do I create my store?
Enter your mobile number, enter the OTP we send, then fill in your business name, store link, first and last name and choose your business categories. Your store is live straight after that.
What can I use as my business name?
English letters, numbers, spaces and these signs: & . , ' - ( ). Up to 60 characters. Emoji and other scripts are not allowed.
How do I choose my store link?
Your store link is the part after lofaz: only English letters, numbers and a single hyphen between words, up to 30 characters, no hyphen at the start or end. It is always saved in small letters. If your first choice is taken we show three free links you can tap.
Can I change my store link later?
The store link is locked after sign-up so that links you have already shared keep working. If you really need a different one, contact us.
Contact us →What are business categories and how many can I choose?
Business categories say what your shop sells (for example Fashion > Sarees). Choose at least 1 and up to 3; the first one is your main category. Customers find your store by store type on the Stores page. You can change them any time in Settings > Business Profile.
What is the standard category when I add a category?
The standard category groups similar products from all sellers on the Lofaz category pages ("smart-phones" and "mobile phones" both go under Mobiles & Accessories). When you type a category name, Lofaz suggests the best one. It is optional: keep the suggestion, choose another, or choose None. Your own category name stays exactly as you wrote it in your store.
How do I add my logo, address and email?
Open Settings > Business Profile. The "Complete your store" bar on your dashboard also lists what is still missing and takes you to the right screen.
Which picture formats can I upload?
JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 10 MB each. We resize big pictures automatically so your store loads fast.
Products and categories Add, edit and organise what you sell
Can I delete a category?
Yes. Press the 3 dots on the category (or open it) and choose Delete. If the category has products, you choose what happens to them: move them to a category called Uncategorized (the default), or delete them together with the category. A message at the top of the screen lets you press Undo for 10 seconds. Anything you delete stays in Settings > Trash for 30 days, where you can restore it. To hide a category for a while, switch it to Inactive instead.
Can I delete a product?
Yes. Press the 3 dots on the product (or open it) and choose Delete. It leaves your store and shoppers carts at once, and orders already placed keep their details. Press Undo within 10 seconds to bring it back as it was, or restore it later from Settings > Trash within 30 days (it comes back inactive, so you switch it on yourself). If you only want to hide it for a while, switch it to Inactive instead.
Where do I find things I deleted, and how do I restore them?
Open Settings > Trash. Products and Categories are on two tabs, and each row shows how many days are left. Press Restore to bring it back (inactive, until you switch it on). If its web address was used by something new meanwhile, a number such as -1 is added. After 30 days it leaves your Trash; Lofaz support can still restore it on request.
What are Admin category and Brand in the product form?
Both are optional dropdowns. Admin category is the Lofaz category of your product (for example Clothing); it is filled from your own category or suggested from the name, and you can change it or choose None. Customers find your product on that Lofaz category page. Brand is the product brand; pick it from the list or add a new one.
How do I set the brand of a product, and what if my brand is missing?
In the product form, tap Brand, type the name and pick it from the list. It is optional and a product has one brand. If your brand is not in the list, press Add "your brand" as a new brand: you can use it at once, and Lofaz checks it (it may be joined with an existing brand of the same name). Customers then find your product on the Brands page.
Shop by brand →How do I copy a product or category, or delete one from the list?
In Products or Categories, press the 3 dots on the row. Duplicate makes an inactive copy named "Copy of Name" with its own link and pictures and opens it so you can change it before switching it on (a category copy has no products). Delete asks you first, moves it to Settings > Trash (restore within 30 days) and shows an Undo message for 10 seconds.
What happens if the link of my product or category is already used?
You do not get an error. Lofaz keeps the link you typed and adds a number when it is taken: test, then test-1, test-2, test-3. The same happens when you change the link of an existing product or category to one that is used.
How do I make an order for a customer who is at my shop or phoned me?
Go to Orders and press Add order. Find the customer by mobile number (or choose Walk-in if you do not have it; a new customer needs a first name and a last name), add the products, choose Pickup at counter or Delivery, say how it was paid and press Create order. Stock goes down like a website order, and you can send the bill on WhatsApp. If you are not ready, press Save as draft: it waits in Draft orders, takes no stock and tells nobody.
What are Draft orders and Abandoned Cart?
Draft orders are orders you started and saved for later, for example before you know the customer. Abandoned Cart is a cart that a customer filled on your store but did not order; you can contact them on WhatsApp. Both are under Orders in the side menu.
How do I record a payment, a part payment or a refund on an order?
Open the order, press the three dots and choose Record payment (or press Record payment in the Payment box). Type the amount (the balance is ready), pick Cash, UPI, Bank transfer, Card or Other, add the transaction ID and a proof picture if you have them, and Save. A part payment is fine: the order shows Partly paid and what is left. If you recorded something by mistake, press Void and write why: it stays on the list struck through and the balance goes back up. If you edit an order so the total is lower than what the customer paid, it shows Refund due and you can record the refund.
How do I add the courier and tracking number to an order?
Open the order, press the three dots and choose Add shipping details. Pick the courier from the list (type to search) and type the tracking number: the tracking link is made for you. For a courier that is not in the list choose Other and type its name and link, or choose Hand delivery when no courier is used. You can tick Tell the customer on WhatsApp.
How do I share an order with my team or the customer?
Open the order, press the three dots and choose Share order. With my team sends a link that opens the order after they log in (they must be on your team with order rights). With the customer sends the items, total, payment status and tracking link on WhatsApp, or the receipt.
What does the order risk on an order mean?
It is a hint, never a block. It looks at what YOUR store knows about the customer: earlier orders that were cancelled, a big order from a new customer that is still to be paid, an address that looks incomplete, many orders in a day. Low, Medium or High is shown with the reasons. For a Medium or High order you can press Ask to confirm to message the customer on WhatsApp before you ship.
Can I see where my customers come from?
Yes. For orders placed on your store, the Order placed step in the timeline says where the customer came from, for example Google search, Instagram or a link you shared, and the first page they opened. WhatsApp and Instagram often hide the source, so some orders show Direct.
What are order tags, Duplicate order and the UPI ID?
A tag is a short word you put on an order (for example gift or urgent, up to 5): press Tag in the status box. Duplicate order (three dots menu) makes a draft copy with the same customer and items so you can repeat an order quickly. In Settings > Business Setting you can add your UPI ID: then the receipt of an order with a balance shows a QR the customer can scan to pay, and the WhatsApp payment reminder includes your UPI ID. An order that is still not confirmed after 3 hours shows a Waiting reminder.
How do I add a team member by email, and what if they have their own store?
Open Settings > Team > Invite member and type the mobile number or the email: the box changes by itself. A person added by email gets an email and logs in at Team login with that email and a code we send by email. One person can be in many stores' teams, and a person who also owns a store sees Switch store in the profile menu (web) or in Settings (app) to open another store without a new code. The item shows only when they have two or more stores.
How do I see how many people visit my store?
Open Analytics: the Visitors card shows how many people are on your store right now (the last 5 minutes), how many visited and how many pages they opened in the period you choose, and your most seen products and categories. Lofaz counts the page views itself without cookies and without saving any personal data, so it counts people who never log in too.
What is the Returned status?
Use Returned for an order that came back (refused at the door or returned by the customer). It counts against that customer in the order risk, like a cancelled order, so you see it the next time they order. Admin can add the Returned mark to any status in Settings > Order Statuses.
How do I make a product go live on a date?
Open the product, go to Status and pick a date in Go live on. Save it: the product stays hidden until that time and then goes live by itself. Leave it empty to publish at once.
What can a team member change?
A team member sees their own name at the top and can change it in Settings > Personal Profile. Only the store owner opens and closes the store, and the store profile and settings stay with the owner.
What can I do on the order page besides changing the status?
Add a Team note on top (your team and Admin read it), write comments and type @ to tag a team member or Admin, add shipping details (truck icon in the top bar), open the Receipt (receipt icon), record payments (the button goes away once nothing is left to pay), and open the last 10 orders of the customer by tapping the line under their name. WhatsApp messages to the customer end with a link to the order, so they can check its status after logging in. The order risk (Low, Medium, High) looks at the customer's earlier orders with all sellers without naming anyone; it says Analysis not available when there is nothing to judge, and it never stops an order.
How do I see an abandoned cart and who left it?
Open Orders > Abandoned and tap a cart: you see the customer's name, mobile, email and last address, every item with its picture and price, and buttons to call or message on WhatsApp. Add a comment for your team (the customer never sees it). A visitor who was not logged in shows as Guest with the items only.
How do I choose the columns of the order list?
On the web panel open Orders and press the Columns icon: tick the columns you want and drag them into order. Order, Customer and Total always stay. Hover over a customer, the items, the destination or the date for the details. The Filter button also filters by payment, delivery or pickup, where the order was made and a tag.
A customer wants to change an order. Can I edit it?
Yes, while the order is Placed, Confirmed, Processing or Ready. Open the order and press Edit order: change a quantity, remove a product, add more products, the delivery charge or the note, then Save changes. Stock follows the change. Products already in the order keep the price they were bought at; added products use today's price. The order page keeps an Edit history, and the customer sees that the order was edited by the store. A Delivered or Cancelled order cannot be edited.
How do I add a person who works for my store (team member)?
Open Settings > Business Setting > Team (on the computer: Settings > Team) and press Invite member. Enter their mobile number, first name and last name and choose a role: Manager (orders, products, customers and reports, not settings or payments), Staff (orders and customers) or Viewer (can only look). They log in with I am a team member on the login screen, with their own mobile number and a code. You can change a role, disable or remove a person at any time; their access ends at once. How many people you can add depends on your plan.
How many products are in a category, and how do I see them?
The Categories list shows the number of products next to every category. Press a category to open a page with its products (the same list as Products, with search, filters and sorting); there you can edit, share, duplicate or delete a product, or press Add product to add one to that category. The pencil on the category row edits the category itself.
How do I delete or hide many products or categories at once, and change the order of categories?
In Products or Categories, tick the rows you want (tick boxes on the computer, long press on a phone). A bar appears with Make active, Make inactive and Delete. A category that still has products needs a choice: delete it from its own 3-dot menu instead (a product that is also in another category just leaves this one). To change the order of your categories, press Reorder on the Categories list: the same list turns into rows with a handle. Drag a row, or press its arrow to send it to the top, then press Save order (Cancel keeps the old order). Your store shows the categories in that order. The products inside a category have their own order: open the category and press Reorder there. A new product goes to the top of its category. To keep up to 5 products at the very top of a category whatever the order, press the pin on the product (press it again to unpin).
How do I add many products from an Excel or CSV file, or download my list?
In Products or Categories press Import / Export. Export as CSV or Export as Excel downloads your list. Download sample file shows the columns (Name, Category, Brand, MRP, Price, Stock, Status, Description). To put a product in several categories write them in one cell separated by | (for example Clothing | Sale). Fill it in, press Import from file and choose it. New rows are added; existing products are not changed. If a row is wrong (for example a category that does not exist) it is listed with its row number so you can fix it and import again. You can also click a price or stock number in the list to change it, tick products and press Move to category, or open a product with View from the 3-dot menu.
Where do I see the steps of an order, and can I write a note on it?
Open the order. The Timeline card lists every step with who did it and when: order placed, each status change and each edit. Press Add note to write a note for your team; notes are private and your customer never sees them. Your customer sees only the steps (placed, status changes, edited by the store) on their order page.
How do customers contact me, and where do I read their messages?
Your store has a Contact us page (the link is in your store footer, yourdomain/your-store/contact). A visitor writes their name, email, mobile number, subject and message. You get a notification, and the message appears in Tools > Contact form with Call, WhatsApp and Email buttons. Press Mark closed when you have answered; Reopen brings it back.
How do I add a product?
Go to Products > Add product. It opens straight on the product form (the Suggested products list is hidden for now). Enter the name, choose one or more categories and a unit, add the price and stock, a description and pictures, then save. You need at least one category (catalogue) first.
How do I put a label like New or Hot on a product?
In the product form, open Product Labels and tap up to 3 labels. The first one you tap is the badge on the product picture in your store; the product page shows all of them. A label such as New leaves the product by itself after the days Lofaz set (30 for New). Only Lofaz can create new labels.
How do I show other products on a product page or next to the cart?
In the product form open Linked products. Upsells are shown on that product's page as "You may also like" (a better or dearer product, or one that goes with it). Cross-sells are offered next to the cart as "Add this too" when the product is in the cart (a case with a phone). Search your products and pick up to 8 of each.
Can I use the app in dark mode?
Yes. On the web panel press the theme button at the top (after the calculator) and choose Device theme, Light mode or Dark mode. On the phone open Settings > App settings > Appearance. Device theme, the default, follows your phone or computer.
Where do I see the stock of every size and colour in one list?
Open Products > Inventory. Every variant is its own row with its picture, SKU, price, discount and stock. Tap the stock or the price to change it. Use the tabs to see only the low-stock or out-of-stock ones, and search by name, variant or SKU.
Can I make my product description look good (bold, headings, lists)?
Yes. In the product form, the Description box has a toolbar: bold, italic, underline, strike, headings, bullet and number lists, a quote and a link. Pictures are added in the pictures section, not in the description. Customers see the formatting on the product page.
How do I add sizes and colours (variants), and see my profit?
In Options & variants add an option (for example Size) and type its values in the same box: press Enter after each (S, M, L). Press Create variants, then set the price, MRP and stock of each variant on its line, or use the bar on top to set many at once. Add your cost price in Pricing and the form shows your profit and margin per sale; only you see it.
I made a category Inactive. What happens to its products?
Every product in that category is hidden in your store, even a product that is also in another category that is still active. In your Products list such a product says "Hidden: category ... is Inactive". Switch the category back to Active and the products show again. A customer who opens the link of a hidden product sees a friendly "Not available right now" page; a deleted product says "No longer available".
How do I make a festival post or story with my logo?
Open Tools, then Marketing. Pick a post or story made by the Lofaz team (use the filters for Posts, Stories, category and sub category; festival ones are shown first). Your logo, store name, mobile number and address are already on it: drag each one where you want it, tap it to change the size, colour, font or background strip, and press the red X to remove it. Then press Download to save the picture, or Share to send it with your store link.
What is a draft, and how do I schedule a product or category?
A draft is not in your store yet, so you can prepare it and publish later. In the product or category form press Save as draft; press Publish when it is ready (a product needs a selling price and stock to be published). To plan it, set Go live on: a draft publishes itself at that time. Hide again on makes it Inactive by itself at the end of an offer. In the lists use the Draft tab to see your drafts, or tick rows and press Publish or Move to draft. A draft category also hides its products.
Can a product be in more than one category?
Yes, in as many as you like. In the product form press the Categories field: it turns into a search box with a tick box for each of your categories. Tick the ones you want; they stay as chips and you can remove one with the x (one category must stay). The product then shows on the page of every category you chose. The product link does not contain a category, so it never changes when you change its categories. In the Products list, Move to category replaces the categories of the ticked products and Add to category keeps them and adds one.
What is the difference between the selling price and the MRP?
MRP is the higher, printed price and is shown struck through. The selling (discount) price is what the customer pays and must be lower than the MRP.
How many pictures and what video can a product have?
Up to 8 pictures per product. For video you can paste a YouTube or Vimeo link, or upload a video of up to 30 seconds and 25 MB.
How do I sell the same product in different sizes or colours?
Use variants. Add options such as Colour and Size with their values; Lofaz creates every combination and each one can have its own price, stock, SKU and pictures. You can change several variants at once by ticking them, or type one price on a colour to fill all its sizes. Everything on the product page (details, pictures, video, options and variants) is saved together with one button at the bottom; nothing is sent before that, and if you leave with unsaved changes the app asks first.
How do stock and low-stock alerts work?
Enter the stock quantity for each product (with variants, the total of the variants). Products with 5 or fewer left are listed as low stock on your dashboard. A product at 0 shows as out of stock.
What is the product SEO section?
It lets you write your own search-engine title (60 characters), description (160) and up to 5 keywords for the product. They are saved exactly as you type them and used on the product page. Leave them empty to use the product name.
What are the limits for names and descriptions?
Product name up to 60 characters, description up to 1000 characters. Emoji are not allowed in names.
Can I hide a product without deleting it?
Yes. Switch the product to inactive and it disappears from your store but stays in your catalogue.
Orders and customers Receive, manage and follow up orders
How do I receive orders?
When a customer places an order it appears in Orders and you get a sound and a pop-up while the panel or app is open. You can turn the sound and pop-up on or off in Settings > Order alerts.
What do the order statuses mean?
An order starts as Placed, then you move it to Confirmed, Processing, Ready, Shipped and Delivered, or Cancelled. Delivered and Cancelled orders are finished: to change one, first reopen it by setting it back to Placed. Change it from the order or from the list; the customer sees the same status in My Orders.
What happens to my stock when I cancel an order?
For products with options (sizes, colours), the stock goes back by the ordered quantity when you set the order to Cancelled, once. If you reopen a cancelled order the stock is taken again, and Lofaz tells you if there is not enough left. Products without options do not count stock, so nothing changes for them.
What is an abandoned cart?
When a customer adds your product to the cart and does not order within 15 minutes, it is listed under Orders > Abandoned Cart so you can follow up.
How do I set a delivery charge?
Open Settings > Business Setting > Shipping. Set the delivery charge and, if you like, the order amount above which delivery is free. The charge is added to the order total.

How do I change my time zone?
Open Settings > Business Setting > Time zone and choose your zone. It starts from your mobile number (India for +91). Dates, today, reports and the date filters then follow it. Orders keep their real time; only the day and clock shown change.
Can I close my store for a while?
Yes. In Settings > Business Setting > Store status you can close the store, hide the WhatsApp number, or stop online orders. While the store is closed or online orders are off, customers can still browse but cannot place an order: they see a notice on the store and at checkout, and the server refuses the order. Their carts are kept.

Why are First name and Last name two boxes in the Seller app?

Press the bin to remove an item; press Undo in the message that appears if you did it by mistake.
Is my cart saved if I am not logged in? What happens when I log in or log out?
Yes. Before you log in, your cart and wishlist are kept for this browser, so they are still there when you come back. When you log in, they join the cart and wishlist of your account (a product in both appears once) and you will find them on any phone or computer where you log in. When you log out, this screen starts empty again; your saved cart and wishlist stay with your account and come back when you log in.

The home page shows stores and products for your city. We pick your city from your internet address the first time; press the place next to the logo ("Shopping in ...") to choose another city, All India or "Use my current place"; it is remembered. Store and product links from these pages open in a new tab. If your city has fewer than 5 stores yet, we add stores from nearby cities and your state so the page is never empty.
Open the home page →How do I look at an old order, and order the same things again?

Tap a product to open its page (it opens with the size or colour you bought). 2. A product the store has removed shows "No longer available". 3. Press Buy again at the top to add the whole order to your cart, or Buy again on one line for just that item. Items that are sold out or gone are left out, and a message tells you which ones.
Can I share a product in the colour and size I chose?
Yes. Choose the colour and size you like, then copy or share the page link. The link remembers your choice (it ends with ?variant=), so the other person sees the same colour and size, with its price and pictures.

What are Recently viewed, Goes well with and Add this too?
Recently viewed shows the products you looked at lately, so you can find them again. On a product page, Goes well with shows products the seller thinks go with it. At checkout, Add this too offers a small extra for what is in your cart. All of them are optional: tap a product to open it or add it.
How do I find products from many sellers?

I did not get my OTP. What now?
Wait a minute and request it again; check that the mobile number is right and that your phone has network. Too many tries in a short time pause the request for a few minutes.
How do I log in with a password?
Type your mobile number or your email in the first box (it turns into an email box by itself when you type an email), type your password and press Log in. "Login with SMS code" sends you a code instead, so you only wait for an SMS when you ask for one. Sellers also get "Login with QR code". Eight wrong passwords lock the account for 15 minutes.
How do I set or change my password?
After your first login by SMS code you are asked to set a password (you can say Not now up to 3 times). Later: sellers open Settings > Password & Email, customers open My Account > Password & Email. Enter the current password and a new one, we send a 6-digit code to your mobile or your verified email, and you choose whether to sign out your other devices.
I forgot my password.
Press Forgot password? on the login page and enter your mobile number or email. By SMS you get a code. By email you get a code and a button: the button opens the page with the code already filled in and you only choose a new password; if you do not tap it, type the code on the page. When the password changes we send you a confirmation email. An email can only be used here after you have verified it in Password & Email.
